Default Clutch Install

Hey guys got a quick question:

I need to replace my clutch and flywheel, I have NO experience whatsoever with a clutch/flywheel. My question is would I be able to do it myself???? If not what would typical labor in doing this cost?? Appreciate it guys

if youve never done it yourself you should have a shop do it. To have a clutch installed (with you providing the clutch) and resurfacing the flywheel Ive gotten quotes anywhere from 200-500.

It is very simple. Pull the drive shaft, drop the tranny(hard part), and swap the clutch and flywheel. Its alot easier then you think.

appreciate your input guys!!! If I can get the labor for around 200-300 then I'll pay somebody to do it. If not I'll do it myself I like to learn anyways.

Tis' true. Just plan to spend a whole day doing it that way you give yourself plenty of time. Though not difficult to do, it will be time consuming and you will get frustrated at some of the tranny bolts. Other than that, its a good learning experience and a good way to save money for some more mods.

I think the best thing to do if you have little to no experience is take it to a shop where you know or sort of know the mechanic who'll be doing the job, and watch him and maybe help a bit here and there. Not sure if all shops will do this, for liability issues, though, but I'm sure you can find someone who'll let you.
