Default what year?

From 94-98, what years had the black painted under the rear bumper letters? Was it an option or standard on some years? I have always thought it looked really good.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I could buy a vinyl kit for it or not. It is something I would really like to do. It looks like a flat black. Any other thoughts?

It's weird. My last '96GT had all of the options. It was Deep Violet with leather and it had the strip painted in. My current '96GT has all options except for leather and rear defroster (it's a special edition made for cars that are in year round warm climate. I bought my car in Florida) and this one doesn't have the strip painted.

Is there anywhere to buy a vinyl strip or something? I have never seen one available.

It came on all the 96's, if a 96 doesnt have it thats probably because it was repainted.
