painting calipers, need advise.

Default painting calipers, need advise.

Hey guys im gonna paint my caliper this weekend if its nice...i was thiinking about doin black paint and not red like everyone and their brother. Any suggestions by brush or spray can?? And the other thing...i was thinking of putting a white pony on the caliper, Should i stensil it with white spray paint, or do they make stickers for the calipers.?? need all help i can get and some pics if u have some...thanx guys!

I did mine in black. I used the duplicolor brush onkit from autozone..... $15

the dupli-color paint kits work very well, and the arn't exspensive either. I think you can get stickers for them.

Did you take the calipers off and pads out or did you do it on the car?

If you know how to take the calipers off and know someone that does powdercoating I'd strongly reccomend you to go that route. I've used the Duplicolor Paint Kit and the spray paint, and neither one I was as satisfied with as powdercoating. Bringing in my 4 calipers, prepped for powdercoating cost $65 while the paint kit and spray paint cost $32 just to figure out that I didn't like how it looked.

They have stainless steal emblems, as well as stickers on ebay for calipers. I've seen the pony from Bullitts, Cobra and a couple others.

yea.....unless you wanna work inbetween every spoke of your wheel.
