Default quick shifting

im trying to improve my speed and smoothnessat shifting from 1st to 2nd, im getting the smooth part better, but wheneveri try to shift real quickly i get grinding into 2nd. im wondering if its mechanical or something im doing wrong, i can do it fairly quick without grinding, im thinking my arm may be faster than my foot.any ideas or tips would be nice.

When speed shifting you may get a little grind, but your car during higher rpm's should come out of gear without the clutch being pushed in, so as soon as you get ready to shift start pushing in the clutch while shifting the shifter and never let your foot off the gas.---IMO thats what I do. But with normal driving you shouldnt need to shift fast.

Keep practicing. When I shift really fast it's one quick simultaneous movement, clutch down, shift, floor it. If you are grinding then you are probably missing the shift or it's not going fully into the gate. I'd recommend getting a short throw shifter.
