My o/r h pipe always smells a little rich....I'd check your plugs/wires....all your tubes from the intake....make sure they are tight, and the tube from the throttle body is tight.....

if everything checks out, get advance to run the code.....

if everything is still running good, I'd turn on the headlights with the car off....disconnect the battery...wait around 10 min, then fire it back it.....that should reset everything.....if it's still throwing the check engine.....take it in somewhere

Flashing CEL means that your car is running so crappy it is causing damage to your cats. Usually caused by a misfire or something unplugged. I've even seena clogged cat cause a flashing CEL.

I understand that you have no cats. Your computer doesn't know that. As far as the flashing of the CEL - it will only flash if there is a problem with your engine that will cause catalyst failure. Usually due to a bad misfire, but since you have an O/R H pipe it may have thrown the code. Do you have a set of MIL eliminators or are you tuned for it?

You need to buy mil eliminators to get rid of you check engine light.
I just installed mine today and my light went off. They install on the rear two O2 sensers.
Make shur you wire tie the wire away from the exhaust and driveshaft. Just a tip![&:]
My car ran like crap also with the check engine light on. Ya, and also before you put the mils on disconnect the battery and everything will reset.

A flashing CEL is very bad and should be scanned ASAP to find the problem.

The light on because of no cats will not make your car run crappy. All it is on for is to tell you that you will not pass emisions it sends no message to the computer to change anything.

it flashed for a couple of seconds after i punched a couple of times. also i just put 93 octane gas because i have the timming +6, should i go with a lower octane gas, steeda recomends 91+ octane when going more than stock timming to avoind detonation. thanks

higher octane than recommended isn't going to bother it.....

How is it running is the big thing? How did it do when you punched it? Did it bogg down? Sound like it's missing? The mil eliminators may be it, I bought my car with the o/r h pipe so I didn't go through this.

Just go to advance and pull the code, it's free....
