Default pacesetter X pipe

A guy at the track just bought a pacesetter off road x pipe 2 weeks ago. He installed it and doesnt like the sound with his slp cat back. He said he will sell it to me for $50. I Have a mac cat back currently. Should i pick up this deal or pass on it. He said it made his SLP not sound throaty. Does anyone have any experience with this xpipe

Well, as far as sound and O/R x pipe is an O/R x pipe. It's just piping. Quality is the difference. Magnaflow pipes are expensive cause it's all stainless. Not sure on Pace Setter.

I have the pacesetter o/r h on my car and I love it.
There quality is good and the fit is great. I would recamend the h but don't know about the x-pipe.
If it looks good why not buy it for $50. There new for $150 to $170.

Pacesetter is **** quality IMO. I've had them before on a previous car and they sucked. I would spend a little extra and get a SLP or BBK O/R X instead. Hell if you really want a good one, get Bassasi!

First time I have ever heard this...I have the pacesetter LT's and o/r Y on my Transam and the fitment and quality is excellent. Absolutely cannot be beat for the price.

I love my Pacesetter X pipe, I have also never had any problems with pacesetter..I had Pace setter headers on my old LT1 Trans Am and loved them, especially for the price. My pacesetter x pipe and flows sound amazing, atleast thats is what the majority tells me...and most of the time people dont care for that combo..I love it..

what kind of sound is it. I really dont care about quality for $50. If it lasts a year then I am happy for $50. Will it be a throaty mustang sound or does it wine. He said he thought it sounded like a ricer on his car with his SLP's. He thinks it will sound good on my car with bigger mufflers. Also on offroad pipes what do you do with your O2 sensors. I know my tuner can disable them but do you just let them hang under your car or remove them.

theres a spot where you screw them in. if you are installing this yourself, you will want it to last longer than a year. trust me on that one, its a pain to install. even with a lift and impact gun. dont forget to buy a new collect gasket for the pass side.
