Default Thermostat help.......

Well i flushed my radiator this past weekend. Everything was fine until my little radiator light came on. I took the car in and had the coolant system pressurized and it wouldn't even hold 6 psi. I believe it is supposed to hold 16 psi. Well we found the leak, it was right where the thermostat is. When you undo the two bolts then take the thermostat out there is an o-ring. I replaced that o-ring with a new one. We put it back together and low and behold it still leaks. We took it apart again, cleaned everything up, and put it back together. Still leaked. Took it apart again and put two o-rings in there, one under the thermostat and one on top of the thermostat and it seemed to fix the problem. Pressurized the system and everything looked good. Took the car out this morning to get some things. When i got home i could smell the "sweet" smell of coolant. IT'S LEAKING AGAIN!!! Don't know what else to do. Need some help.

No i don't have a thermostat gasket. I think i might go to the autoparts store and buy some gasket material and make my own gasket. The car hasn't ran hot or anything. But it just aggravates me when i know something's wrong with my car and it would seem to be a simple fix but it's not.

Buy a Good New thermostat, A Goodthermostat should come with a one side sticky gasket and put some high temp silicone on it and that should keep it from leakin
