Default MRT catback?

Has anyone heard a MRT catback, not the mid pipe, on a mustang?

It sounds great on the website. I believe it's chambered so it should sound similiar to MAC, Spintech or Flowmaster. Quality looks to be top notch too. And hey your sig is way too huge!

I dont know one person on here that has the MRT catback. Possibly cuz of their prices. But I have the MRT catted H on my cobra and I love it. Good quality product. If you get the mrt catback and mrt H, I would be interested in hearing the sound of it. I think it would sound great.

It sounds pretty good and from the research I've done they're suppose to have great quality. Sorry about the sig pic, no one said anything so I just left it.

It would definately be different since no one has it. The reason I'm looking is because I had ordered the FRPP/Borla Stingers from 50s Resto and apparently Ford has discontinued that exhaust for the GT, they only make it for the Cobra now. So now when I thought I had the hardest thing I had to decide for the car, the exhaust note, I have to look and decide all over again. I like how they also give you a choice between brushed or polished stainless tips, brushed would look sweet on my car.

Hello,

This is a fairly old thread, however i would like to say i have an 05 gt with the mrt cat back mufflers ( max thunder) and they sound great.

now im not a huge car afficianado, however i learn more and more about my car every day. Most people that dont know the mustang say that mine vs. others (stock) sounds much meaner and throatier. Some that are kinda used to this stuff say, "hey are those flowmasters"? I say know but they still appreaciate the sound. My next step in the next month is to get mrt's h-pipe (catted) and see how it sounds then.

To me they sound great shortly after i warm it up, and give it a quick few taps of the pedal, and really sounds good when you start to enter the highway. My buddies are like wow it sounds really mean.

Allen.

I may be wrong, but I thought that MRT used Flowmasters and Magnaflows for their different catbacks just with their own piping.

I certainly cant deny that, however i will do some investigating and see if they make their own mufflers or if they are reselling flowmasters as their own. Like i said im not a car afficianodo but i do like the sound. I almost remember asking them if it is their own brand or if they are somehow reselling another brand (flowmaster) and others. I should know more tomorrow.

I purchased my mustang last year, then i thought well in the past most people buy flowmasters and what not, so i wanted something different. That is why i went with MRT and they are fairly local to me.

one point i would like to add is that i did start the car up one day and my buddy said,"Hey what did you do get some flowmasters". I said no for the simple fact i did not get them from flowmaster. I dont see flowmaster anywhere on the mufflers, however like i said," i will do some investigating and see"

anyone know if the mrt off-road h-pipe with free flowing cats are good or bad? Im slated to get mine by late Feb 08.

Thanks!
