yah headers are a b#tch to get off of the newer stangs. thats y im not thinking about getting them done. but JD told me a while a go that u ahve to loosen the engine mounts. I hope that helps

 

Yeah, i rember hearing something about lossseing the engine mounts and lifting the engine a bit.

 

For LT's if you don't wanna drop the K-member...

I'm gunna see what I do with the car... If I fall into some money here (which I might, got a $20,000 scholarship) then I'll go manual valve body, higher stall, headers, PI heads and intake, 4.10's, tuner, new shocks/struts, new alternator, control arms.... etc...

Agreed. Its not that hard of a job to get the engine lifted up.

On my longtubes myself and my 2 professonal mechanic brothers had to wait until dad got home (almost 30 years as a pro) to get the last 2 bolts tightened, but that was on LTs.

 

its not a do it ur self job that anyone can do in their home garage. u need a lift and need 2 be able to lift the engine a bit to get some room.

 

any ideas on the price on installing shorties. I am in the central texas area if that makes any diffrence
