2)My car runs dead on @ 2500 rpm'sdoing 75mph with 3.55's. Methinks 4.10's would add a minimum of 500 rpms at that speed. My friend has the exact same car as me but has 4.10's. We took his up to Mission from Vancouver to watch the races. I wish we hadn't. I kept wanting to reach over from the passenger seat and shift up as the thing was droning along at 70mph but remembering that's it, we're in 5th. I fly by him like he's waiting for a bus on the highway. I can redline mine in 5th and he runs out of gear when things get upwards of 110mph. Get the 4.10'sif you want to bro, I'm not here to **** in anybody's eye.4.10's for the city are a lot of fun. TheSOTP feeling theyprovidetransform a car instantly as if you added 100hp. A lot of action happens rolling along the freeway and my buddies notch would get embarassed by anything that can speedo 125mph. I know I'm the minority here as I've noticed 95% of what I've read here advocate 4.10's so they can't be all bad. From the experience I've had (using 5th gear in the city!) they ain't for me. They will get you outta the hole quicker and that's the bottom line for most. As you make more power though you'll notice all that gear just goes up in smoke and a taller gear for a more well rounded car may be more appealing. That's just my two cents. Go for the 4.10's, I'm sure you'll like the stoplight to stoplight snap...

He could run a lot faster then 110.I know thats the end of 4th but the 4.10s would let him rev way more in 5th gear though and pull harder in 5th.If u can redline 5th with 3.55 im guessing your running way more then stock hp or its taking u miles to top out 5th

4.10s will hurt mileage, it's a lower gear. I don't know why people are saying they won't. Maybe 1-2mpg doesn't mean much at the moment, but it to alot of $$$ at the pump over time. For the kids on the board whose parents buy their gas, of course it's not a big deal though. If you do alot of highway driving go for 3.73s.
And before someone says "if you are worried about gas mileage you shouldn't of gotten a Mustang"., keep in mind that you can get pretty respectable gas mileage with these cars if you shift early and avoid jack rabbit starts.
Getting gears is fun no doubt, but you will more than likely dip into the throttle more to feel the thrust of the lower ratio. I went from 3.55s to 4.10s in my 5.9 Dodge Ram and it definately helped acceleration but mileage invariably went down.

Yes - 4.10s are great on the highway you have plenty of power in 5th gear and RPMs are still low at 75-80 MPH. You definitely notice a difference. Only difference you will notice is gears are much shorter than stock meaning you will be shifting much sooner - you won't get 60 out of 2nd gear unless you rev it high.
I am not 100% sure 0-60 time is faster with 4.10 than stock gearsbut in quarter mile you would see a difference.

There is NOT going to be that big of a diff in gas mileage between the 2. Maybe if your comparing 3.27s to 4.10s there would be a noticeable diff.
And with the 4.10s you have plenty of power in 5th like triangle said. Ive had both 3.55 and 4.10.
