Default Pulley Swap, belt slippage

Ok well i have a choice. I'm gonna be doin an intercooler DIY kit on my car and turnin up the boost. Now the stock pulley supposedly is 3.25 (Thats what paxton told me twice now, pretty sure thats correct, 95% sure) And the only smaller sizes are 3.00 and 2.75.
I Just dont see my blower makin 10 psi on a 3 inch pulley after the intercooler. It only makes 7 now.

Question is the 2.75 pulley gonna slip too much or will it be okay? if it slips too much then i'm goin with the 3"

Well I know they say anything under a 3.0" on a vortech to upgrade to an 8 rib set up.

3" pulley, get the reichard racing one if you can find it. Nice billet aluminum piece. Belt slippage is very random with a blower, I keep a spare w/tools with me at all times just in case I shred a belt. When I first got blown I shredded two belts within a few months. Since then no problems. *knock on wood*

Also you have to remember using an intercooler adds piping/bends and you will lose boost as a result of this. So even if you put a 10PSI pulley on, with an intercooler you might see 8 at your boost gauge at max boost. I'm running the 10PSI pulley and I never see more then 8PSI.

I would look into getting the 2.xx" pulley put I would convert to an 8 rib set up. That why you won't have any belt slip.
