Default HID KIT Question

I bought the first type of dual halo projector headlights for my 2000 mustang GT but I'm disappointed with the amount of light being emitted at night. Does anybody know if I can install an HID kit in thedual halo projector lights? On the actual product, it tells me not to use HID but I don't see why I can't. It looks like there's enough space within the housing. If anybody knows anything at all, please let me know. Thx.

Don't the HID bulbs run hotter than stock too? They might melt the housing
