Suspension - KYB vs. Monroe vs. Tokico
Hey everyone!
I will be pruchasing 2 front struts, 2 rear shocks and possibly2 rear axle dampers for my 03 GT. there are sooooooo many choices out there but these three manufacturers are all in the same ball park for price. I am not that crazy of a driver, so adjustables arenot something I am very worried about, or crave that much. I looked at KYB's AGX (adjustables)and GR-2s.Also Monroe SENSATRACs. I am not familiar with Tokicos but I heard theyare not so bad. I am basically looking for better than OE suspension but nothing like Bilstein cost/performance.
I DO NOT want to buy springs to lower the car in anyway (it's still factory hieght and where I live - is NOT a good idea to lower the car. "POTHOLE HEAVEN"!)
Any thoughts would be great...
THANKS

All are good names but I love my tokico blues. If you do not need or want adjustables thenI recommend tokico. I had Monroes sensa-tracks before they are decent but more for luxary performance in my opinion.
If you want a morecushy (which some, not me, call "better")ride the go with the Monroes, otherwise the KYB or Tokico, or Gabriel Ultras (Autozone). The Sensatracs use a tapered and grooved inner tube which permits less damping at rebounds and comprerssions that are centered around the "normal" ride height--I think this makes them feel very odd on a performance car, it also makes thyem quite unsuitable for lowered suspensions...
