Okay people, I need some help here! Driving to class today and my check engine light came on. Had to drive the 20 miles back home after class. How do I check to see what the code is? Not sure what to do here....

OK, I dunno what the dpfe sensor is? How do I know what to do here? The guy at Advanced said scrub "the valve" with a wirebrush, i don't know what the hell he was talking about though and i dont think he did either. Where is the egr vavle? got apic of it? Any suggestions? I have to go to class tomorrow, is it ok to drive it like this? How much is this gonna cost me?

egr valve is right off the right side of the plenum, it looks like a UFO with a vacuum line to it. you can't scrub it with anything lmao - dude those parts guys are so full of it - I went to autozone once to get codes pulled shortly after my header swap - anyways I get 2 o2 sensor codes so I figure its the wire that pulled out of the sensor and I "taped" back on lol... anyways the dude proceeds to tell me that he "see's this all the time" and all I need to do is "get a new gas cap".... rofl.

I figured he was talking outta his a$$ but I couldn't argue with him cause I had no clue what he was talking about. Ok, I know what the EGR is now, but how do I know wheter it is the EGR or the sensor? What do I do? Is it safe to drive it like this? At least for one more day? Where's JD? He said he knew what to do......
