IMO they are both great oils, I use Mobil 1 5w20 full synthetic but with a supercharger you might want to use a lil thick oil maybe 5w30 or 10w30. Both would work the same and I think your paying for the royal purple name if you get that. If I had the extra cash I would get the royal purple but they are the same.......BTW get the K&N oil filter to, just to be safe

Yeah K&N makes a decent oil filter, Mobil does too. It is a synthetic high performance one, seems to do just as good of a job as k&n. Just stay away from fram!! Imo I would pick Mobil, its just easier to get and is just as good if not better than royal purple. Also I think that Amsoil is > rp

Royal Purple says they will improve horsepower by using their oil (dunno how).. i have yet to see it proven on a dyno.

Mobil 1 FTW.. been using them since i was 16 and have never had a problem or complaint.

My buddy is a certified Ford mechanic and all he uses in his 96 5.4 liter cobra, his gf's built 97 GT, and his Ford work truck is Motocraft oil filters and oil. It is specificly designed for the Ford engines so why not use it? He puts that stuff on his life! I just think its funny how noone ever mentions this stuff.

But i use Mobil 1... Honestly if you change it at 3k miles i really dont think it matters.

At least where I am, RP and Mobil 1 are the same price - $6 a qt.

Odd how neither one of you take your "buddies" advise and run Motorcraft.
