You could do eibach prokit and that would be a good looking drop for him. Ride quality will decrease a little without the new struts/shocks but not big enough to get concerned about.

If he goes past 1.5 inch drop hes going to need to get new struts, and casterCamber plates.

He wont HAVE to get new shocks and struts if he goes past a 1.5" drop. They are recommended, but you don't have to get them. I have Eiabch sportlines, and they give about 1.7-2" drop. I don't have new shocks and struts, and I actually think the car rides smoother than before. If you go past 1.5" you Will need new C/C plates though. Eibach prokit will probably be good for him.

I went with Steeda springs and cc plates. It's an 02 so it would probably be a good idea to replace the shocks and struts since you're about to replace the springs.

son here...

how come coupe springs are less expensive then coupe springs? i know i have a heavier payload spring but come on. the Ford Racing G spring is 255 bucks compared to the 150 dollar C spring. i may just have to swing for the G springs. eibach is expensive too and i've heard bad comments about the pro kit (uneven, sagging)

i don't know why coupe springs are cheaper than coupe springs. I have seen some coupe springs that were more expensive than other coupe springs. I guess it just depends on which coupe springs you are talking about......hhehehhehhehehe jj

Shocks will eventually take a dump if lowered, plus nice new shocks = nice ride quality, with adjustablity .
