wheel problem

alright i bought a set of 17x 9 cobra rs for the front and a set of 17x 10.5 for the rear. the rear tires are sitting on 285/40/17 nitto 555rs. i tried bolting them up last night and they hit the shock. is this normal and if so whats the next step, thanks

maybe it was the E-brake ? to be totally honest i came home from where i picked them up last night and it was dark out and i said to myself i have to put them on could this be a problem changing a tire with the E brake on:?

I doubt it. It might be the quad shock your hitting? During the DAY jack up the car and look at what its hitting.

I doubt it. It might be the quad shock your hitting? During the DAY jack up the car and look at what its hitting.
your right it was the quad shock (the smaller diagonal one)

my buddy has 10.5 inch DD bullits w/ 315/35/17s on his, it clears just fine on each side

maybe the wheels are offset deep enough
a hub spacer will fix this problem

maybe the wheels are offset deep enough
a hub spacer will fix this problem
never use spacers...thats just asking for a problem.

Just buy a set of lower control arms from blue oval industries and then take the quad shocks off.

never use spacers...thats just asking for a problem.
we use them at discount all the time
no problems, if you know what you're doing
