my 04 mustang gt has a problem it seems like sometimes when i try putting it in reverse sometimes it wont go in so i have to put it in 1st and take off a little and then put it in reverse. is this normal or should i get it looked at, at the ford dealer. the car has 9k on it i bought it with 6k on it.?
its normal to have alittle reverse issue, I always go first to reverse by habbit anyways since all the 5sp's Ive drove have it in some way or another - especially in colder weather.
There are no syncros for reverse and that makes it a little harder to get into reverse. Honda's usually are the worst. I can't recall having issues with my car, but I may have gotten use to having driven a Honda for 3yrs
yep mine does that too. it sometimes takes a few to find reverse. all stick shifts do that. i guess is good cuz u dont want to hit rev when ur shifting into 4th [] [:@]
Yeah my 99 does that too, I just have to pump the clutch again and it usually goes into reverse without a problem. At first I thought there was something wrong with the tranny too...
