I have a catted X-pipe with flowmasters 10 seriers race mufflers and they are like the loudest chambered mufflers you can get. I get many compliments on my sound cause they do sound really nice and has a really good tone but it's not obnoxious either.

If that's all you're doing then just go with Flowmasters. But honestly, their cat-backs aren't that much. I have a Bassani stainless steel cat-back for my '98 GT that's gonna go on soon after I get the vertical door kit installed. Those run about $650. Remember, there's sounding loud and sounding good. I think you're just wanting a quick fix, I don't think you'll be happy either way with the setup you're going for.

Yes, I am. I got suckered into the ones from PMP. I like the look of them and I'm putting a LOAD of money into that car including an entire repainting in Chromalusion so I might as well go all out, right?

Pretty much. Anyone can make fun of it if they want to, but it's eventually going to be standard on ALL cars in the future. Just as long as everything doesn't look like Minority Report later... [:'(]
