Do u know the brand of the quadrant? The stock quadrant is 2 white plasticpieces.Take both out. Youshouldnt have to reuse the springs that hold them in if the new quad is a 1 pc. I can get a pic of mine if u need it. Let me know.

Here is the trick.I just put a steeda one on the other day...anyways. Remove the two clips. The 1st part of the quadrant should now slide out...you might have to use a small pry par . The second one had a spring behind it. Push the spring in the opposite direction...dont be affraid to use force as you are not going to re-use this. Then pry the rest of the plastic quadrant off. The New quadrant should use a metal bushing-quadrant -plastic bushing when you re-attach it. The 2nd hole has nothing to keep tension on it. However the new cable should be more then enough to keep it tight. Then place the old clips back into the holes...Your Done!!!Let me know if you get it worked out.

How does the cable come off? Do you have to keep pressure on the quadrant??
Also do you NEED a new cable??

Off the quadrant, does it just slip off?
So you can't use your stock cable with aaftermarket quadrant?

Just to FMI, why should it be changed?
My car has low miles, I could see if it were a 10 year old car with 100,000 miles.
