Default trouble code: check engine light help

hey everyone after last night having a full car w/ pretty heavy people in my back seat area, i kinda scrapped my cats or mid pipe over a speedbump and on the ride back home i got a check engine light. so today i went over to autozone and checked it out w/ their OBD-II handheld and it gave me a code. wondering if anyone could tell me what it is and how to fix it? i already cleared it but still would like to fix it so it doesnt pop up again.

CODE : P1131

thanks,
Majeed

p1131 is for the upstream(front o2 sensors only).vaccum leak,egr problem...overly lean condition.REAR o2 sensorhave nothing to do with A/F ratio....Upstream means front 02'sdownstream means rear o2's.

Have you visually looked under the car to verify what damage occurred? Like others have stated, P1131 is an upstream O2 sensor or sensor related error. The upper O2's are tucked up pretty high and I doubt you damaged them by bottoming out. What has more than likely happened is when you bottomed out your exhaust you created a leak thereby throwing the P1131, (lean condition). If you cut an upstreamO2 wire, it will usually throw a P1127. I would take a look before ordering new parts. Just my .02

Agree.prob jolted the mid-pipe and created an exhaust leak above the front o2's ...do you hear a ticking sound or anything that sounds like an exhaust leak?
