Default DriveTrain Problem??

Ok guys...from start to finish i want to describe my issue.I get in the car go into reverse to leave my house ...everything is fine.As soon as i put the car in 1st i can hear a clunk noise.I give it gas....clunk...let off on gas clunk. The noise/clunk is more apparent at lower gears and seems to dissipate once i get through the higher gears.I can also feel the clunk through the shifter it self.Once i have been driving the car awhile and i start from a stop. There seems to be a vibration on gears 1 and 2 at lower rpms. Then clears up.Also the vehicle at slow speeds in the parking lot after its warmed up also makes a vibration/binding when turning? Now i think that it may be U-joints?However i havent found anything really wrong with them. But the only way i have tested is turning the driveshaft by hand and looking at the joint??Any other ideas?
