I have a bbk intake on my 00 gt. I recently replace the filter. Do i have to oil it? If i didn't would it cause a problem?

What brand did you get? k&n come pre-oiled, so you dont have to worry bout it til you clean your filter.

if its new i dont think you have to oil it

It's pretty basic. If your new filter is oiled, then no need to oil it. If you put a dry conical filter on without oil, it will not collect the fine dirt particles that a regular paper filter would. So yes, it's a bad idea to run a conical/aftermarket filter without oil.
