Well if you read what I posted a lil more carefully you would have seen that it says almost drained..as in fuel light indicator is on.

with a timing adjuster you can still use 89...I run 14 degrees in my 5.0 and some goodies and it runs fine....even my truck I use 89 with a chip that says to use 92 I never saw any differance in using either one....

not to flame. but U bought a mustang. it is costly to drive no matter what gas U use. it takes money to go fast. how fast do U want to go

Lol you guys are complaining about 92 octane...I put 110 in my Buick GS @$5.50 Gal. Shows you how fast I want to go I guess Anyways you shouldn't have to drain your tank to use higher octane, just do what SilverGTV8 says..." Just run the car until the low fuel light comes on and you will be fine."

what about for us sn-95ers who do the pi swap?? think we should run premium or midgrade since it bumps the compression up to 10:1??

yup, higher compression also require higher octane, 10.5 is about the highest u can go on pump gas.

Unless your car is pinging LIVIN_LEGEND, it's a bad idea to run 94 on your car.

My car pings like a **** on 87 so I try to run 89, once in a while it pings and I end up using 93. I've noticed it's really dependant on the weather.

READ THE WHOLE POST BEFORE RESPONDING...Grrr...newbZ...No where in this thread does it say anything about draining the tank...go ahead find 1 spot....It says ALMOST as in almost empty to the point where your gas light comes on...ALMOST!..for the 3rd time.Bah!
