aight, im an official candidate for "dumba$$ of the year" award. to make a looong story short, i had the opportunity to get a free shifter, its a steeda tri-ax i believe, will post pics later for confirmation. The only catch was that i needed to take it off the other car myself. Dummy me takes the 4 hex bolts out, pull the handle out, and "ping" "ping" there go the springs. I eventually got everything off the RIGHT way, found the springs, and I see where they go, just cant get them compressed and in the holes at the same time. Im thinking (hoping) there is a compressor of some sort for these little springs, or maybe some other trick?? Or is all lost?? any help is appreciated......

Have you tried emailing Steeda regarding your problem? If not, that would be a good place to start. I really have no info from personal experience to help ya -- I didn't know the spring(s) came out that easily. [8D]

 

Sometimes TWO sets of hands are better than one. That might be one of those things that you need a buddy to help you.
