rear Shock mount???

Default rear Shock mount???

so i was driving today in my 98 cobra and i felt a wierd vibration throuh the car, i parket it on the drive way and went in for lunch, when i came out side to look the car over i noticed the shock hanging down, i w as like FU$$ what the hell, i bent down and the mount to the rear axle was still atached to the strut with the sheared bolt on it my quesstion is what the hell could cause this (only modifications are kenny bell suspension cat back and short throw.

really bad wheel hop? what were you doing when you heard the noise?

granny shifting huh, that will do it lol, i dont know if it could have been from a tow truck, because on sunday on the way home from the mustang shoot out at joliet my alternator died in the middle of a corn field and i had to be towed home from there

If it's not a simple case of a defective bolt, I'd guess your shocks aren't long enough to allow full movement and bottomed, hammering the bolt until it broke. You can usually feel this in the car though.
