ticking noise please help!!!!!
lately when i start my car up i hear this loud like clunking ticking noise that usually goes away. Now lately it does it louder when the car is warm and idling as well as when cold start up. It sounds like it has no oil in it but i know it does cuz i check it all the time and did the oil yesterday. I asked my neighbhor what he thought he's a mechanic and he said its a lifter. Now people on here say there are no lifters on our cars and i don't know if its called something else and my neighbhor is just old school or what. I don't know much about engines. But just wondering if anyone might have an idea what it is. I really need help here. Its a 2003 mustang gt
thanks
thanks
i have the same problem...my mechanic said it wasnt a lifter but it might be im going in tomro for a full check up...but he told me thats my engines runing rich that he need to give it a tune up ...idk muhc bout engines either but he lifted the car and the sound comes from under the car i guess my engine isnt in sync
I can't get a clip of it today but if i can i will. Im glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem. Although i drove it to a shop today to get some accessory work done and it didnt make the noise like it did last night so idk guess ill just have to bite the bullet and pay to get it looked at.
