I cannot turn it on and off the light stays turned on

Sounds like you may have a custom tune. The LED is on when the t/c is off (I guess it's supposed to be a warning)--when turned permanently off via a handheld tuner or custom tune you cannotenable the traction control, the light stays on...[/align]

 

+1 Has the car been tuned? If not then you have a problem.

 

i had the same problem when i bought my car. They said it had something to do with a sensor. . i'm not sure how true that was because it happened for a few days after they "fixed" it . . mostly when it rained out. . . then it just sorta fixed itself

3 buttons below the stereo are, rear window defroster, traction control, and fog lights.

 

One way to tell if it's throwing a false code or not is to do (or try to do) a burnout. If you light em up, then you probably have a tune, and it's disabled...if not, you may have a problem.

 

if you don't have tune, you may need a new ABS/Traction Control modulator,I had to put a new one in my 99 GT. It was like $800!!
