Default Need some HELP, hit the curb!!

I need some help. I recently hit the curb damaging the rear right wheel. I slid into and over the curb, hitting pretty hard. Wheel was gone, axle was replaced, brake caliper bracket replaced however my brakes still rub against the rotor only on a certain spot.

I noticed there is a small gap between the diff and the caliper bracket. Is there supposed to be a gap.

Any way around getting a new diff and if not, how much should it cost to replace. Thanks for the help.

BTW, did not replace the axle bearing or seal, if that helps

did you replace the rotor... the rotor might have bent or be warped...

that's what i was thinking too, but my mechanic said he really doubts it. He said the rotor would have cracked or broken completely.

The only thing is that i'm not sure about that gap between the bracket that holds the calipers and the differential. My mechanic said hes pretty sure its supposed to sit completely flush with no gap (even though its a tiny gap) so according to him i need a new differential.

actually he swapped the rotors and calipers and the brakes still rubbed. The strange thing is that they only rub on one spot on the rotors.

May be a possibility that the rotor wasn't installed properly or the caliper is misaligned. Could be any number of things but its a brand new rotor it shouldn't be doing that.

yeah no... there should be no gap at all.. i know that for sure... that bracket bolt will fall out and then you have a bigger issue... if that bracket falls out then you will bend it even more and then the caliper might get messed up to... if those parts are under warranty i would send it back and get new ones... no point in meesin any more things up then already are... it sounds like the rotor is messed up if the bracket is alighned with the rotor... idk though...
