MSD COP's?
I was just wondering if anyone is running these on an n/a setup. I gotta think that a better/hotter spark has to show some improvement, even on an all motor setup. are they worth the cash?

RE: MSD COP's?
i thought about doing them because at least once a week my shop replaces coils on mod motors so i figure they are inherently bad and mite as well catch a problem before it happens by replacing with high performance

RE: MSD COP's?
+1 the way I see it, these motors arent powerhouses, so every little thing counts, even though the parts cost a lot....

RE: MSD COP's?
They won't make any difference, the OEM coils are entirely competent until you get into very high comprerssion numbers...

RE: MSD COP's?
I've seen them go past 80,000 miles and fail at 10,000 but I've also gotten a few bad MSD coils also. They won't make any difference, theFactory pieces are pretty goodso I'd just use 'em til they go bad, good luck.

RE: MSD COP's?
From the '03 factory service manual (emphasis added):[/align]
Approximately 50% of COP coils returned for warranty do not have a problem. The optional WDS Coil On Plug (COP) Kit available through Rotunda will provide more accurate diagnosis and help reduce replacement of non-defective parts. The WDS COP Kit (418-FS528) can be purchased through 1-800-ROTUNDA. |
