Default pi intake

OK i cracked my intake manifold on my 99 gt and since it was under warranty i took it into the local ford dealership. and they put the ford racing pi intake on my car
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=6125
now i was under the impression that i could not put this intake manifold on my car with out pi heads. all i have is stock heads. now when i am in 3rd or 4th and i step on thegas the car sputters. is it true that i need pi heads or a computer retune? i asked the mechanic who put it on and he said i did not know what i was talking about and the sputtering has nothing to do with the intake and there must be something else wrong. i say he does not know what he is talking about cause it never sputtered like that before and had lots of power. now it struggles to pick up speed. any expert advice would be appreciated. thanks

01-04 are pi motors, I THINK, that link says its current prod on 01-04, dont know why it would not include the 99 and 2000, unless they have different heads. WEIRD

99-04's are PI motors...so that intake should fit fine...hmm that is wierd that it doesnt mention your year, but yes it is just a direct replacement

Yes your 99 has PI heads. All 2 valves from 99-04 come with PI heads.
