Default Spring Isolators

I am installing the Eibach Pro-System on my car tomo, and I don't have new poly isolators. What will happen if I don't install them? Are they just to keep the springs fom touching metal, or do they give you a better ride for the street?

This is my daily driver, but also enjoy a setup that will prform well in a auto-x/roadrace situation.

They will prevent squeaking and some noises. If you don't use them the car will be slightly lower thatn if you did. To be honest though, you are going to need a lot more handling mods to handle with most Auto-X/Roadrace cars.

Yeah thats what I am working towards. I am thinking the pro-system is not the best way to go either, but anything has to be better than stock. I nee to kill some weight off this car also. It feels so heavy.

Oh yeah back to the point. I don't mind some road noise, but how much is some road noise.squeaks and that stuff dont scare me

Put'um on. I put poly in mine and they are not that expensive. It will save you the hassel later of taking everything apart to put them in. Not to mention if you dont you will have metal to metal contact which will not be good for a daily driver. If you are planning to road race (SCCA?), check the rules before you do. Dont make the same mistake I did and put yourself into a higher class with just a simple mod.

Go with coil overs if you want to start tracking it. Check out Maximum Motorsports. They have everything you need. You can get a bunch of their stuff cheaper on American Muscle using the discount code. I put UPR front coil overs and KYB AGX's all round and it handles about 17.897 times better than stock. Much stiffer. I got the highest spring rate offered and the ride quality is better than my FRPP C springs.

If you really want to start handling then you can look into a tubular front suspension, control arms, poly urethane bushings throughout, panhard bar and many other things. Check out Maximum Motorsports and talk to them. I have talked to them and they have given me some of the best customer service that I have ever gotten. They really know what thye are talking about.

dont mean to threadjack, but will sportlines with the isolaters on raise the ride height enough to prevent most bottoming out??

I would also put them on. The give you a nice feel to have new ones in. +1 on installing new, but you dont have to use them.
