Default clutch question

Im gettin my clutch warrantied today for the chirping sound that it makes....I work at the dealership so im gettin hooked up on it...the tech said its probably the release bearing, but since he's in there, he's gonna go ahead and put in a new clutch, pressure plate, and bearing. My question is, do I have to break in the new clutch by shifting at no more than 3000 for the next 500 miles? Thanks for the help!

Not to sound like a jackass, but why don't you ask the guy at the dealership who is hooking you up. I am sure there is some break in period though.

yes there is a break in peroid. it isn't so much for the clutch health, but it is so u will put an even wear patern on the flywheel.

most aftermarket clutches say the break in period is 500 miles, however i put about 200 on mine and i know other people who did about that much, its all up to you

Yes, there is a break-in period for the new beefed-up clutch. Don't race or pop the clutch for about 500 or so miles. Take it easy.

It's the hard shifting that causes the warping on a new clutch plate. Just take it easy for awile.
