Default KB on stock bottom end

ok guys, i am selling my 98 GT here soon and gonna buy, what i call a PI gt(99-04) here at the end of summer. i plan on putting the Kenne Bell 1.7, 6 psi non-intercooled kit on it and as far as other mods it will have for then is an intake and 75mmTB. so first off, what kind of power numbers can i be lookin at with this kit and will the stock block be able to hold it? i think it will but i wanna hear wut you guys gottta say. by the way a buddy of mine is gettin an 03 cobra here soon so what that means is that hopefully i can have the first vid of a KB GT versus 03 cobra.

how much $$$ for the install between the 6 psi (non-intercooled)kit and the 9 psi (intercooled)kit? are they both the same? if the 6psi is cheaper to install then why not buy the intercooler later and get smaller pulley and install them myself?

the intercooler is built into the bottom of the charger and is a bitch to uprgrade, you have take the chrager off the manifold and it comes assembled from KB, you also have to install a Garrett front mount heat exchanger, and coolant resorvoir with some hoses. even with install which I didwith my buddy in 19 hours its worth it. You make more power and its safer.

Get the intercooler and go 9psi.

If you're looking at the cost of upgrading, don't forget you'll need to re-tune the car.

There's nothing to be proud of when a "built" anything beats a "stock" anything else. That said, at 9psi, my 04 GT beat the snot out of Cobras and Vettes on the freeway.... even with my top down, and an automatic tranny. Now I can beat "stock" Vipers, but crotch-rocket motorcyles are still a problem.... but they get surprised at how well I hang in there.

thanks for the responses guys. i was totally unaware that the intercooler was mounted under the supercharger. i guess i will go 9 psi intercooled now. however now with that setup it says you need to run 94+ octane or water injection. but if I retard the timing will it allow me to run pump gas(93 octane)? its going to be my daily driver. any suggestions will be much appreciated. thanks again guys. also how much is the install gonna cost me?

KB will tune it to run 91-93 octane depending where you live. My tune is for 93 and is still very rich...which I guess is better than too lean...
