96 GT Dillema
I have a problem. I just bought a 96 GT with a 4.6 Liter engine and only 50,000 miles on it. It was a steal for only $7,000. But there is a problem that I need help with. The rumor was that the engine currently in the car now is in fact a Crown Vic motor. If so, are there any problems with that becuase I know that Crown Vic's still have a 4.6, but I don't know what problems it may cause in a mustang.
And second, I can smell gasoline a bit, which makes me believe that the engine is running rich, is there any way that I can fix this problem.
Thanks to anyone that can help

Thanx for ur reply to my post. so here's mine for yours. my grandmother has a crown vic, so i took a look at it the other day, and there are some differences. I'm sure there's got to be some discrepancies regarding the fuel injection computer, depending on whether it's running a crown vic program or a mustang program. the intakes(including manifolds)are also different. i can't see any problems it would cause, as long as the engine was installed correctly. but u might not be gettin the right air/fuel mix if it's running the wrong program.

Ya, cuz they are to slow on the streets, so they have to come in here and try to be a winner.
