Default differentials

I'm pretty new to domestic.. I want to get 3.73 gears and a limited slip differential for a 99 GT. Which brands are good for these parts? I'm all about saving money, but I don't want anything that's going to break. It's a daily driver with alot of highway use. I don't know much about LSDs, so I really have no idea what to look out for there.

thanks

For gears, go with Ford Racing or Motive. Ford Racing are a bit more expensive, but that is what I went for.

Your car already has limited slip. There is no reason to replace it unless it is worn out or you actually need an upgrade.

The stock TracLoc ain't too bad for mild/street applications. I would rebuild it while I was in there, but if everything is nice and tight I wouldn't worry about it. A good LSD will set you back $400+.

Most people here prefer FRPP or Motive gears and avoid Richmond.

eaton or detroit for the differential but then your gonna need to buy new axles because nobody upgrades a diff and retains the 28 spline axles, defeats the purpose a little.

but like said above you already have limited slip so unless you plan on runnin drag radials or slicks, you should be alrite with jus gears

well i dunno i believe code still has 28 spline axles but they are forged. They've been holding up just fine for him. And im sure he's pulled 1.5 60 ft times before so i dunno...but yea for the peace of mind i guess 31 splines are better.
