Would it be a good idea to get new injectors when supercharging. What would be a good injector to buy. 4.6L

 

Multiply the number of injectors by the lbs/hr rating of the injectors, then divide that by the brake specific fuel consumption. For N/A engines the BSFC range is around 0.45 - 0.55 and for turbo/supercharged engines its from 0.55 - 0.65. According to that formula, 36# injectors could support up to 523 supercharged/turbocharged HP.

 

you have to. the stock 19# cant flow enough fuel. 36# or 42# is what you want.

 

what size fuel injectors come with the vortech kit?

 

i would guess 42 cause the prochargers come with 42 and they real similar

 

unless u go over 9-10 psi the 36's will be fine on the stock engine.
