Default Shift kit install gone bad.

I went to a shop to get a TransGo reprogrammer shiftkit installedfor a mustang auto GT. So I got the car today and to my surprise the the tranny feels its lacking power. 2nd gear wont shift in it take a long time to shift, and I really dont feel any kind of kick even in normal driving the tranny feels weaker than before. Im taking it back tomorrow, to see what they can do. Do reprogrammer kits need a break in period? Anyone know what could be wrong?

Sounds like you need to kick some shop ***. There's no excuse for giving a car back to a customer in that condition. Tet drives are a normal part of service.

Make them fix it NOW. Don't wait, they can fit you in. You very likely could be doing damage driving it this way.

Yeah I took it back to the shop today. I was talking to the guy and he started to blame it on the shift kit. So I took him for a test drive and he said he has an idea about what went wrong. Hes suppose to have it ready on Monday. Hope every thing work out.

thats why when people ask about shift kits i tell them to get a PA valve body, its a much simpilar install and everything is already together in one piece all you do is change the valve body out. same thing happend to me when i tried to have a transgo kit installed and i had to go and just get the pa valve body, no problems whatsoever now.
