Default Side exhaust. . .

Let me just get this out of the way now and let me make it clear i am NOT talking about Roush exhaust.

Anyone here have aftermarket mustang side exhaust? How does it look/feel/sound? I REALLY want the Borla exhaust that they made for the Cobra R. Thats gotta look and sound mean . . . I've always wanted side pipes but all i've seen are around $1k. . . and then you need the side skirts too . . . I like the side exhaust that ppl have on SN-95's i see running around. Its like two pipes on each side. . . I want to do that and get a V-6 rear bumper. . . . idk any ideas or thoughts?

I am interested in the kit as well, but I didn't think the Cobra R style used sideskirts....I thought that only the Roush kit used them....could be wrong though.

side exhaust doesn't work with SFC's because the exhaust would hang low...like .5" off the ground low. There are a few options though...Roush offers subframes that are kinked for side exhaust, you can notch the exhaust/subframe to squeeze them in (but thats not very flow efficient). Pretty much if you haveSFC's your limited to rear-exit or turn downs/dumps. Unless of course routed it up over the rear frame rail through the quarter panel

All that was stated above is WRONG!!!!
The roush "subframe" connectors for side exhaust is some little cheesy piece of metal that connects to the rocker molding. I have the borla exhaust. it sounds good with the cams but i have a header leak at the moment and cant get you a good sound clip. Spintech makes some real badass subframe connectors for side exhaust. Google them. I have them and they are stout. Your exhaust will not hang a .5 inch of the ground. Mind doesnt. About 3 inches lowered. I have to work mine a little bit because one of the hangers broke on me so but I will have it looking good sometime in the future. You won't burn your foot getting out either. Hope this helps.

whoa whoa whoa there buddy, i have maximum motorsports subframes and after looking at where the connection is and how the exhaust would route, it would sit damn near the ground, way too low for average street driving clearance. I must admitt i know the roush SFC don't get the best of approvals, but it was the only company i knew off that made sub-frames for side exhaust. Chill out, could have atleast said spintech makes subframes that would fit size exhaust

I think it would be awesome to custom fit SVO side exhaust from a SN95

What about the CDC exhaust? http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com...splay/465.html Still $1K though

i know a guy with side pipes. he has two squares for tips and they are angled like the Cobra R. He also has the borla mufflers. Sounds pretty good. I think with your h/c setup it should have a nice lope to it as well
