Default Engine builders, please Help!

So my Buddy spun a bearing in his newly forged 4.6 (1700miles). We swapped the crank and the bearings. Put it all back together. And went to turn it over and it just wont start. The starter turned it a few times and it wanted to start then now it wont turn over at all. We even tried push starting the car and the tires actually lock up when in gear! Any ideas?

try turning the motor both ways... possibly it could have timing off from taking the crank off... probably have to retime it. may have a bent valve from it too... also see if the rotating assembly will turn by hand with the cams off.

Will the motor turn by hand?

Thats a weird thing... When we first turn it, it doesn't want to. Then after we break it into motion it moves freely and doesn't give any resistance.

How many rotations did you do? Have you checked the battery? Did you make sure the cam gears are on the right side?

Batts fine, I even use my 1000CCA Marine Blue Top. I almost thought it was electrical till we tried pushing it and the wheels and tires locked up.
