Default Calling all mustang TECHS

I recently put up a post in which nobody replied, maybe i asked the wrong questions idk. Anyways I have a 99 GT I just did the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing on and my pedal is still wobbling. I changed all of this because my throwout bearing was squealing rather loud. My question is how do I get rid of the wiggling pedal. I have heard that it could be the clutch cable itself, but am not sure. Please help B4 my throwout bearing goes bad again. This is my DD so I would like to get it fixed asap. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What do you mean the pedal wobbles? Is there some play in it or is it loose as hell before it engages the clutch?

Clutch engages fine it's a wobbleI Can't really explain you can feel it if you set your foot on it barely. but whenI push it down to shift or at a stop light there is no wobble. Could this be a cable that is just in need of an adjustment?

Yeah, that sounds like you just need to adjust it. Did you pull up on the clutch pedal? Thats the factory way to adjust it. My new centerforce has a tad more play in it at the beginning of the pedal travel than the stock clutch. Doesnt sound like its too bad if you can only feel it when you barely touch the pedal. What kind of clutch is it?

pull up on the pedal with your toe. then push it to the floor... do this a couple times to get it perfect.

ahhhh i have that same wobble!!!

it was perfect until gasp well ill get to that, I bought a new clutch and motor at once and had a shop install everything car has 89K miles on it motor and clutch 2K, well i was starting to get on it and wondered if I could do more than just chirp second with the new clutch so i powershifted [:@] and when i was driving i noticed that instead of having a lot of pedal travel before i could get into gear it was almost no travel at all

and i have that infamous wobble you are talking about except it shakes... a lot... i notice i get the wobble back when im driving during the weekends (harder driving) and was also wondering what i would have to do to remedy this mess, ive done the pull up on the pedal thing and pump the pedal with my foot but that really doesnt do anything but make my passenger think im ocd

so anyone have any help?

Normally you dont replace the clutch because the throw out bearing is making noise.... I drove mine for over a year and over 15k miles before my clutch finally gave out... I couldnt say what the "wobbling" is.... if you barely put your foot on the clutch and feel something.... it is because you are not supposed to do that! Putting your foot barely on the pedal will barely engage the clutch... this is bad on the clutch... like riding the clutch.... if the clutch is fine when shifting then your problem is easy to remedy! DONT REST YOUR FOOT ON THE CLUTCH PEDAL! Driving stick 101 completed.... you may now advance to the next level!

i know not to rest my foot on the clutch it's not thatI do that at all. It gets to be a real pain when it wobbles so much you can hear it wobbling. I have drove plenty of cars, trucks, and even other mustangs that this doesnt occur in soI know it is some sort of a problem. Come january i'll have a 5.4 so maybe ill just get rid of that tranny and get a T-56. i appreciate all of the feedback, it did help i am just going to go to a dealership and get an idea. Thanks again everyone.
