Default 5.4 turbo?

I need help from somebody who has done a 5.4 swap before, will a 5.4 when put in a 99-04, allow enough room for turbo piping?

also, can / how can a c-6 trans be made to bolt up to a 4.6/5.4 motor? thanks

I'm sure it will fit. It just might take a bit of creativity. Here's a pic of a 5.4L TT setup:

That is one way to do it, I'm sure there are other options.

With a distributor? I don't know of any mod motors with one of those

The fit will be tight with the 5.4, but no more so than the 4.6 is. The 5.4 just takes up a bit more space horizontally, and a little more vertically (intake manifold). It is possible.

Haha, good point. That's what I get for linking the first pic I saw, without really reading what it was or was not.

Yea that would work good if you wanted turbo piping coming thru the firewall

Well, like I said. . . that would be one way to do it, but not the only way. It just shows that there is room for twins and the motor. Also, like ShadowDrake said, the 5.4 is essentially the samr block as the 4.6, but with a bigger stroke. I think it is slightly taller than a 4.6, but that is about it.

There is plenty of room for a couple of turbos. Here a couple of pictures from my engine bay with my 5.4.

With a tubular K member there would be plenty of room.
