Default pullies...help?

I tried installing tthe pullies but I couldnt get the alternator pullie or the crank off. I got the water pump pullie off easy. The cranka nd alternater just kept spinning even with the belt still on? I have the pullie puller and everything for the crank but i cant get the bolt off? why is this?

edit: ^^ that too ^^

rap a rag/towelaround the alternater the twist then ends together to hold it while you try to remove the bolt. It might help if you use penetrating oil first. For the crank bolt. Put the car in gear, then try.

Use an impact onthe alternator bolt to loosen it. 90% easier.

if you dont care about your pulley... My brother and I just used some serious channel locks on the alternator pulley and a breaker bar. but I dont know if you are planning on keeping your pulley. get an impact gun though... much much easier

if you have a piece of old hose cut about a 1 inch piece out of it and then cut the little piece the long ways....the rubber will give quite a bit of grip......worked for me
