Fuel Cutoff Switch

RE: Fuel Cutoff Switch
Like I said, it pops when something is up. Maybe a plugged sock from dirty gas, bad ground, too much pressure. I would use a scan tool to see if any DTC's have come up. You can get those without your check engine light coming on! If you have a handheld SCT that will check for them.

whats going on specifically? Just no fuel pressure, or what? Can't hear the pump starting when you turn the key to on?
Mine popped a few times in the past, for absolutly no reason. I would drive it to where I was going, get out, and when I got back in it wouldn't start. Reset the switch and everything was fine.

No the switch didn't pop and yeah when I turn the key I can hear the fuel pump. The starter just clicks once when I turn the key. My street is a hill so my buddies and I tried pop starting it and I have done it before on less of an incline at slower speeds and it worked but this time it wouldn't work. So even if it had a bad started shouldn't it still turn over if I pop start it? Also what made it just randomly die on me in the middle of a highway. I didn't hear anything mechanically breaking like the motor seizing or anything.
I was also thinking it might be the after market alarm that is on the car. I accidently cut a wire going to it before and when I connected the battery back up the alarm went off for the first time since I owned the car. So I had someone by-pass the alarm and I got it working again. We disconnected the alarm speaker cause it was making too much noise at the shop but the blinker still flashed when it was going off and it's not flashing when I try to start it this time so that's another reason why I am confused about what is going on.
