Default Pre-S/C

This might be a dumb question, but can you get to 300RWHP with a 02 GTwithout a supercharger? If so, what do you need to get there?

Thanks for the help

Never gonna see 300 WHP with just that on a accurate dynojet. Your going to need some sort of head porting to crack above about 290ish WHP with boltons/cams/tune.

I made 280/292 on a crap tune with full boltons (LT/mid/cat/pulley/filter/maf/intakepipe/tb/plenum/3.73/VTstage2)

yelw02gt made 305rw with full bolt ons and vt stage 1's, we think the dyno read high tho. im not sure if those are the corrected numbers.

in all 300rw from a n/a 2v wont be cheap or easy, might as well save for the s/c.

I'll put my life on it that says you can pull over 300rwhp with full bolt ons. I've seen it done twice this year on three different dynos.

There is absolulty no chance whatsoever you will ever see 300 WHP with just boltons. You better not bet your life on it, cause your going to die if you do. I duno what dynos your seeing, but it just isn't happening on a 2v 4.6L

Heads are not a "bolt on". "Bolt ons" are easily installed componets that do not require engine dissassembly. Boltons include exhaust, filter/maf/inlet/throttlebody/plenum (but not the lower intake) and underdrive pulleys.

Heads, intakes, cams, shortblocks, and IMO gears and electric water pumps are not boltons. "Technically" everything you do to the car is a "bolt on" as they are all held on by bolts.. but thats not the typical forum usage of the term.

The dyno was reading high. Typically with stage 2 heads + cams people are only seeing 310-315 WHP... let alont 305 with just a set of cams.

Just no chance whatseover. Typical bolton only car puts down between 255 and 270 whp , cammed cars putting down 270-290 WHP. The higher ranges are usually made by slightly off dynos + really great tunes etc.

but you said above my post that you had "full bolt-ons" and you included cams....

cams IMO are bolt on, but its fine for you to disagree because depending on the motor and the way you see it, yea its internal. Personally (also known as my opinion which you usually dont agree with) as long as you dont put on a power adder and you leave the short block alone, its a bolt on. so there...IM STILL LIVING. ha
