Will a 275/40/r17 tire fit on a 17X10.5 wheel? will it be to stretched, will it be drivable, will it blow out, etc etc.

Yes, you can put a 315/35/17 on a 17x10.5 with no problem.

???? That's not what he asked!!!
NO, I had 275's on my 10" wheels and they were even with the rim. By adding an extra 1/2" you're rim will stick out 1/4" on each side and it will look silly! It's the same as putting 235's on a 9" rim. Look ridiculous

I wouldn't put anything smaller than a 285 or 295 on a 10.5" wheel and nothing smaller than a 245 on a 9" wheel

the guy that owned it before used the car as a daily driver, my brother dont drive yet. if its a daily driver ur bound to hit sometyhing, and mess up ur rims like parallel parking or sometyhing like that its bound to happen. happened to me with my Saleen wheels parked way to close to the curb and just scrapped it a little bit but you cant really tell

Agree with everyone but also take into consideration depending on what brand you go with as well. For instance a nitto 315 will actually be SMALLER than a summitumo 315, just thought I'd throw that in.
