im at a total loss then, thougt it was an issue with the tune, had it retuned, same problem, anything under 1k idle after a few seconds it will stall and all i smell is fuel, assumed it was spark cut too, went over the entire electrical system and nothing..... guess ill have to settle for the idle
Just a thought, my shop said that they don't like Walbro fuel pumps as they tend to burn out. As a shot in the dark, could your fuel pump be going? I mean, could it be needing more power caused by the higher idle just to keep the fuel going? If you're smelling fuel after it dies, it just might bea backup of fuel in the lines because the pump doesn't have what it takes anymore. Just a thought.

Well ive gone over everything just about, only 2 possibilities left, also 2 tunning shops with a reputation are also at a loss. The last 2 things i can come up with is it has something to do with the IMRC deletes on the 4v, or my CEL comes on for the fuel pump relay circuit to hot, but there is no fuel pump relay on the 2v by the looks of the wirring diagriam, either way these 2 issues dont realy seem like they would have an bearing on my problem. As far as it causing major damage by letting it go, I do not beleive having a higher idle will cause damage to the car, its just that a higher idle, the car is not leaning out nor riching out, the tune is pretty much dead on.

Well the pump is brand new, ive only put about 300 miles on the car since ive had the car back on the road after the s/c. Ive been hearing alot of bad things about the walbro pump so I will probably be changing it out sometime next season, but if that pump burned out at 300 miles walbro is definatly garbage.

Just throwin it out there, reason being i just got another 03 GT and it idled high and it was driven pretty easy since i got it, now theres a knocking comming from the engine bay. And on a cold start up you have to keep it over 1k rpmfor a minuteor it'll bog and die.

Well your car was idling high because of a problem which could of advanced, mine is idling high because i set the idle high. Ona nother note too, i still have a gt guage cluster, and for some reason the stock tach reads about 100-150 rmps higher then the autometer tach i have installed in the car, not sure which one would be more accurate, pretty much my stock cluster is idling at about 1150, but according to the autometer is more like 1000.

Mine has a high idle and a low idle same as it did before the supercharger. Cold or with the A/C on it idles at 1100. Warm with the A/C off it idles at 800. I have no problem with it stalling. Did you do the IAC mod?
