Default Should i do this or no?

Not to sure about this so please correct me. On my car right now i have striaght pipes. My friend at his shop cut off both of my mufflers and put in straight pipes. He only charged me 10 bux and told me to come back and hell put glasspacks for 60-70 bucks. Not to sure about what that is, but im guessing it takes place of a muffler. If i put on the glassback should i take off my cats or ress? i wont take eveyrthing off because its too loud, but im mainly looking for the most HP gain. whats the best thing to do. Also few people have told me since i have striaght pipes ive lost hp due to backpressi duno how that makes sense but is it true? Thanks!@@!

about the back pressure and losing power is entirely true. glass packs however will not give u much back pressure back. and for 60-70 dollars i wouldnt do it. however im gonna assume u have 6 cats on ur car if i were u i would get rid of 4 atleast if not all 6 but u will lose more back pressure but also u have to take into consideration that the exhaust is so restrictive stock that it is better to get the exhaust more free flowing the worst thing would be running open headers for pressure. so if i were u leave the straight pipes in dont add glasspacks but do get rid of some cats
