Default Stumble during acceleration

My 96 mustanggt is stumbling terribly when accelerating, particularly when you hit it hard. does anyone know what this may be?
It may be coincidence but it happened after we were messing with the throttle position screw as it idled so low.
I first thought it may be ignition system but i have all new wires and plugs and checked them, does anyone know what it may be?
or is it just the screw is now in the wrong place? would that have that affect on accelerating.... its like a stopping sort of effect, it really stutters when you hit the gas anywhat hard.

Thanks guys

that REALLY does sound like ignition or fuel delivery. didyou replace the screw and get that sorted out?No codes? plugs look ok?

Fuel pump, filter, injectors up to snuff?

it seems like nobody ever checks out EGR, evap, or any of the emission systems. They can too create the same problems you are mentioning if not working properly.

A bad TPS is very common in Mustangs especially after 50k miles. I would recommend changing that first. Before you go changing out a lot of other stuff.

i have an idea, instead of being a parts changer and wasting money, diagnose it and fix it correctly the first time.
