Default anyone know?

does anyone know how much a rebuild would run on a 00 auto?
i was quoted between 1800 and 2100 for parts and labor depending what they can reuse.
i really dont want to over pay, and those are big numbers for my budget.

that does not sound too bad, I paid 2300 for a dodge ram 1500 auto rebuild. I would defently buy a shift kit and a better torque convorter for it and have them install it while it is all apart. IMO

Yeah that sounds about right for a professional rebuild on an automatic. They are more expensive to rebuild than a manual. If it must be rebuilt make sure they use better than OEM parts so it will handle more abuse.

for those that want to know....
aamco -
$2000 for the rebuild, $375 for the 3/36 warranty. $190 for the cooler. was $2500 with the $100 off coupon i found.

he wouldnt put a diff stall on the car, he wouldnt have been able to warranty any of it if he did.

that went fast though. how much would it be to switch it to a standard i wonder that could be an extra 2 tenths to 3 tenths mod right there. pending you know how to drive it. iwant to switch my auto to a manual. at DEZ Racing he said it would be 800 for the install but that does not include the parts. i wonder how much parts would run for that. he said it would look just like it came from the factory.
